Hi friends...so I'm hanging out with Parker and his best buddy Ian. Last spring, Ian's mom (my best friend Kelly) and I swapped our kids for 2 mornings a week. Parker was a BABY and Ian helped to take such good care of him. Now, they totally play together and are hilarious to watch as they have their own style of communicating. I am so thankful for the Hock's friendship and I'm glad these two mesh well since they'll be together and around each other for the rest of their lives since I can't live without Kelly.
Needless to say, this year has FLOWN by! I cannot believe we're already at Thanksgiving again. We have SO much to be thankful for this year...
Health
Home
Happiness
Love
Friends
Family
Faith
Finances
and SO MUCH MORE!!!
We're heading to our friends house for Thanksgiving...actually their parents house. They have a son that is 10 days younger than Parker and they have a BLAST together. I can't wait to enjoy this season with Parker this year. He was only 6 months old last Christmas so the next month will be a whole new adventure for us. We wish you a blessed Thanksgiving!

Well...
I think the idea of a blog overwhelms me because I feel like I have to have something profound to say or minimally it has to be worth reading. I've decided inspite of that to write. I'm just a 31 year old mom and wife who's trying to embrace technology without it taking over my life. Sometimes I may write...other times not...really...who's reading anyway. That's my post for today. I'm off to clean and prepare for my parents visit...which I am SO excited about. More to come soon...or maybe much later...who knows????

Parker's Big Day
I have to admit, I thought I would be on this a lot more than I am. I recently read my friend Erin's blog (which I try to do everyday because she is a very wise woman) and her blogging has grown since she began so let's hope that for me as well. I just think this would be a great way for me to share about our family and life in general. I guess we'll just have to see where it goes.
ANYWAY...
Last Sunday our little man was baptized. It was a beautiful day of family and friends. Here are a few pictures of our celebration.

Back to reality...
It's been a GREAT 2 weeks off but tomorrow for us, and so many other families, it's back to reality.
Just to re-cap our 2 weeks...
-We drove 600 miles to Palm Desert to celebrate the Christmas season with the annual de Boom holiday party.
-We then drove 70 miles into Chino for my sister's annual holiday party.
-It was then 60 miles to LA for the morning to meet Mr. Charlie Olson...SO CUTE!!!
-We then headed 40 miles down to the OC to see friends and that evening, 100 miles back out to Palm Desert...
OH YEAH this was just the first 4 days!
-We then laid low for a few days and enjoyed Christmas with my side-now known as Papa (Jim), Grandma (Barbara), Auntie Stacy, Kyle and their doggie Riley.
-The day after Christmas we drove the 600 miles back to Chico.
-The following week we enjoyed some family time and cleaned-up the Christmas decorations, I worked a few days, we loaded the fridge, started the laundry and Zach graded some papers.
I hope you have a GREAT Monday Back to your reality!

Getting Started
So it's the new year and technology seems to be the theme for us. We set up our Wii, webcam and I thought let's just add a blog too. I don't know how diligent I'll be with this but I feel like I we may be the only one without a blog so I thought something is better than nothing.
